FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DOES CHIROPRACTIC HELP AND OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is chiropractic right for me?

Our central nervous system is in constant interaction with our environment, and through it it regulates every cell, tissue and organ in our body. Everyday stressors cause disturbances in this connection. As a chiropractor, my goal is to meet you where you are right now and help you reach where you want to be. So no matter where you are in your life and you want to improve your body's function, chiropractic is perfect for you!

Can you visit a chiropractor during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, the body goes through several changes that may strain the spine. Therefore, it is especially important for expectant mothers to take care of the natural functioning of the spine and nervous system. The techniques used are gentle and safe, intended to be suitable for different stages of pregnancy, including after childbirth.

Is chiropractic suitable for children?

Chiropractic supports a child's development excellently, and my youngest clients have been only a few months old. Bumps from birth to learning to walk and school age affect the function of the spine and nervous system. Unfortunately, increased screen time and inactivity contribute to the trials of the spine, so in addition to healthy lifestyles, chiropractic is well suited to prevent ailments in the future.

Are there risks in chiropractic?

As a Chiropractor trained in my own 5-year university education, the techniques used in my office are always applied according to the client's situation. With the help of the survey and examinations before starting the treatment, we can rule out the risk factors of the treatment. The risks of chiropractic at the reception of a professional trained in this way are marginal.

How does chiropractic differ from other treatments?

There are certainly as many forms of treatment as there are practitioners. At my reception, I primarily focus on the structures surrounding the central nervous system and their ability to function, instead of just the symptoms. This ensures the overall well-being of the body and the ability to recover and heal. As part of the treatment program, in addition to the spine, other support and exercise systems are also treated if necessary.

I just had surgery for a spinal disc herniation. Can I see a chiropractor?

Spinal disc herniation can often be caused by structural or functional deviations of the spine. Although surgery is sometimes necessary, it does not eliminate the disturbance in the movement or position of the vertebrae. Surgery or acute disc bulging is taken into account during the treatments in order to guarantee the safest and most effective end result. Chiropractic enables the body's ability to recover and heal, even after surgery.

What does chiropractic help with?

Many go to a chiropractor for some problem, most commonly because of pain. Such symptoms include e.g. headache, neck and shoulder pains, lower back pains, numbness or tingling in the limbs, various joint pains or dizziness.

Chiropractic is about much more than treating symptoms. Through regular treatment, many have received help for several secondary ailments, such as digestive problems, reflux, menstrual problems or shortness of breath. I often hear from my clients how sleeping is easier, they feel like they have a lot more energy, handling stress is easier or that the so-called the brain fog has cleared. Many athletes also visit chiropractors to improve their performance and recovery.

How often should you visit a chiropractor?

The treatment plan is always based on the findings made at the first visit. Since I aim to improve the structural and functional well-being of the spine instead of the symptoms, the progress of the treatment is based on objective tests and indicators in addition to subjective feelings. In order to have a long-term effect on the quality of life and well-being, a certain regularity is always required.

My goal is to bring chiropractic into my community's health maintenance and disease prevention.
